Ultrasound customers ranked the ultrasound division of Philips Medical Systems (Best, The Netherlands) the number one vendor in overall service and first in manufacturer performance for "Ultrasound All Systems” in the 2005 IMV ServiceTrak survey.

Philips also received top honors in customer satisfaction for ultrasound cardiology, radiology, and obstetrics/gynecology. The 2005 IMV ServiceTrak report, one of the most recognized surveys in the healthcare industry, confirmed Philips industry leadership position in 18 ultrasound service and performance factors studied in the survey. Furthermore, Philips scored well above industry averages in 24 attributes, with 18 scores being better than 2004 year's results.

Over 2,200 respondents were asked to rate manufacturers on a wide range of factors across the product ownership lifecycle. Philips rated best in the areas of emergency response, satisfaction with service and manufacturer performance, satisfaction with service engineer, help-desk telephone support, and remote dial-in diagnostic support.

"Our top priority each day is to focus on the customer and we are extremely pleased we continue to receive the highest marks in customer satisfaction year after year,” stated Jon Fazekas, vice president, ultrasound customer services, for Philips Medical Systems. "We will never take for granted the trust our customers have placed in us and are committed to continuously exceed their expectations in all that we do.”

IMV, Ltd. (Greenbelt, MD, USA) is an independent healthcare research company that evaluates the medical imaging, clinical diagnostic, and instrument markets. Respondents from the ServiceTrak report are drawn from a randomized database of U.S. hospitals and imaging centers.
